As part of this unique experiment, work was carried out to obtain caviar not by traditional method (fish slaughtering ), but by life method, that is, by seeding from wild Volga producers, and their subsequent maintenance in artificial conditions, for the creation of which the first cage line on the Volga river was put into operation. Nowadays when the catch of sturgeon is completely prohibited, we keep more than 1,500 domesticated producers of Russian Sturgeon and Caspian Beluga in our farm.

The pearl of our farm, of course, is the Queen of the Caspian sea-Beluga. Caspian Beluga is one of the representatives of sturgeon, which are listed in the" Red Book " as endangered. It is the largest freshwater fish in the world, reaching a weight of more than 2 tons and a length of up to 6 meters, with a lifespan of up to 150 years. Individual specimens of Beluga on our farm reach a weight of more than 240 kg and an age of more than 40 years. LLC «Beluga» is the only company in the world which grows and contains the Caspian Beluga which is under the threat of disappearance and reproduced only artificially on 100%. Except the Caspian Beluga, the basis of our breeding stock is the Russian Sturgeon, as well as other representatives of sturgeon species of the Caspian basin-Sevryuga (Acipensenser stellatus), thorn (Acipensenser nudiventris) and Freshwater Sterlet (Acipensenser ruthenus).
